IELTS Assessment

IELTS , or 'International English Language Testing System', is an international standardized test of English language proficiency. It measures ability to communicate in English across all four language skills – listening, reading, writing and speaking. IELTS is jointly managed by British Council, IDP: IELTS Australia and the University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations (Cambridge ESOL) through more than 350 locations in 120 countries.

IELTS has two modules: General Training and Academic. The General Training module is usually taken by people who want to emigrate, and the Academic module is taken by people who want to study abroad. It is essential that you check with the receiving country or institution to find out which module you need to take.

TEST SCORES

Band scores are recorded on a Test Report Form, showing overall ability as well as performance in listening, reading, writing and speaking from 1 to 9. The tests are designed to cover the full range of ability from non-user to expert user.

There are many authorized IELTS registration center for British Council and the students to get registered for the IELTS test. We also provide training, which will help you in securing high scores. Coaching for IELTS is available at all the branch offices including head office.
