Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program for Business

The government of Manitoba has come up with number of changes  in (PNP-B) Provincial Nominee Program for Business last month. The changes are effective already and new procedure are mentioned as below:

General Changes:

Applicants no longer need to submit an Exploratory Visit Application Form. Rather they can submit an  Expression of Interest (EOI) to the program. The EOI will be put in a pool and assessed based on a points system.

Only those who has submitted the EOI could be chosen as a  successful candidate. Submission of an EOI is free, and applicants will remain in the pool for up to one year of submitting.
Program applications will be accepted from those individuals who has submitted the EOI and were subsequently invited by the PNP-B to apply.
It is no longer required by PNP-B applicants to make an exploratory visit to Manitoba, though a visit is still strongly recommended.

Good-Faith Deposit and Processing Fees:

  • The required good-faith deposit has been raised from $75,000 to $100,000.
  • A non-refundable application processing fee of $2,500 is now required of new applications.
  • All individuals invited from the EOI pool to submit an application must pay the $2,500 fee. Upon application approval, the good-faith deposit must be paid.

Filipino Nurses: New Canadian Immigration Program

Quebec Immigration remains largely untouched and very much in favour of healthcare professionals like you.
Quebec Immigration is the easy and best way to enter Canada because of their proactive approach and nurses can fill the gap which is there in healthcare sector of Canada. The shortage of nurses in Canada is quite high.
The best part of the Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP) is that unlike all other Canadian Immigration programs commonly known, the QSWP can be applied for solely based on your qualifications obtained outside of Canada.  This program doesn't  require any kind of job offer by the state and any number of applicant nurses can apply for immigration, there is no limit !! For eligibility for this program, one doesn't has to show any kind of settlement fund.
The qualifying requirement for any candidate is up to age 35 and 4 years of experience. One has to qualify minimum language requirement. If you don't fall in this category or fail to qualify, there is nothing to worry about as your children and Husband's credential will add on to make you qualify.
We always guide our candidates in documentation, interview and suggest them to show full intention of settling down in province of Quebec. But as an Canadian Resident one is free to work and settle at any part of Canada which is protected under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Canada welcomes 250,000 newcomers a year, and you could be one of them!

Quebec is a unique region of Canada in many ways.
It is a very multicultural part of Canada with many different spoken languages and commonly held values that differ slightly from the rest of Canada and one of these values is their view on immigration.  While many Canadian Immigration programs are reducing their numbers or tightening their requirements to qualify, Quebec Immigration remains largely untouched and very much in favour of healthcare professionals like you.
I commend Immigration Quebec for their proactive approach to solving nursing shortages by making it easier for nurses to come here and fill the gaps that exist in our healthcare system.
The beauty of the Quebec Skilled Worker Program (QSWP) is that unlike all other Canadian Immigration programs commonly known, the QSWP can be applied for solely based on your qualifications obtained outside of Canada.  The program itself does not require a Canadian job offer, there is no limit to the number of applicants that can apply if you are a nurse and you are not required to show settlement funds to be eligible for this program.
If you are a university graduate with a major in Nursing, under 35 and have 4 years of nursing experience you should qualify with minimal language requirements.  If that doesn’t match your career and educational profile don’t despair as there are many different factors that can contribute to your eligibility. For example, having children and your husband’s credentials can help strengthen your application.
I should mention that when you apply under the QSWP you should show intention to reside in the province of Quebec but as a permanent resident your freedom to live and work anywhere in Canada is protected under the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
Nurses don’t just treat you in the hospital but they prepare you for when you leave their care and we at the Canadim family do the same.
