OCGC - ADVANCED WATER SYSTEMS OPERATIONS & MANAGEMENT CO-OP:
This full-time, Ontario College Graduate Certificate offers students the opportunity to:
* Prepare for work in waste water treatment, water treatment, and water distribution
* Leverage our college's water and waste water technology expertise
* Prepare for MOE certification exams
* Participate in a paid co-op to gain industry experience
Lab and field work are incorporated throughout the program as are field trips to a variety of water treatment and waste water treatment operations. The program includes a paid co-op experience of up to 16 weeks duration in a facility or industrial setting, where students apply their learning under the guidance of a mentor.
Career Opportunities:
Employment opportunities include work in municipalities with water and waste water treatment systems, in water-use industries, in inspection or environmental monitoring agencies. Employment opportunities are also available in industrial sectors such as mining and mineral processing, iron and steel, petroleum, power generation, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, and agriculture.
Minimum Admission Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years of academics in 1st or 2nd Division
- Minimum English language proficiency: IELTS: 6.0.
